So, this was my second Thanksgiving away from home, but it was way better than last year. After going grocery shopping with my dad again, I still haven't stopped being amazed by some of the stuff that's offered in American stores. Then I saw an olive loaf of the bologna variety. Now that it's January 6th, Epiphany (which meant I had no school today! Yay Austria for celebrating Catholic holidays!), I figure it's about time to actually talk about the holiday season here in Vienna. (And show PICTURES!! Or links to pictures, anyway.)

Today some of my 8th form Gymnasium students (seniors) told me a little bit about Christmas traditions here.  Since it wasn't part of the assignment at all, though, I didn't get to delve into it as deeply as I would have liked.  However, here is what I did learn:
